RC227 released to Production

Summary

Activity

New Features

  • Now showing a “from price” on the product details page.

✈️ Air

Release theme: This release is centered on two priorities: advancing the Sabre Segment Builder toward broader GDS parity, and improving stability across the booking, ticketing, and PNR servicing lifecycle. We also continued progress on PNR Import and Refresh, with a focus on making those workflows more reliable and seamless for agents.

🚀 New Features

Sabre Segment Builder — MVP

The Sabre Segment Builder MVP is now ready. Thank you to the clubs for the feedback throughout development — it directly shaped this release.

Agents can now build itineraries with greater fidelity and flexibility, including:

  • Codeshare support — When Sabre returns partner codeshare data, we now display the operating carrier alongside the marketing flight.
  • Smarter cabin handling on revalidation — When an agent selects “Any [cabin],” the system now preserves cabin consistency by leg, producing more coherent and bookable options.
  • Mixed-cabin pricing fixes — Pricing components are now correctly preserved across legs, improving price accuracy for itineraries with mixed cabin classes.
  • Reliable filter behavior — Updating stop or airline filters now triggers a fresh availability request rather than returning stale cached results.
  • Cleaner cabin sorting — Cabin options are now sorted from lowest to highest price by default.
  • International traffic restrictions surfaced — When a segment includes a restriction (for example, routing limitations), the restriction code and human-readable description are now passed through to the UI for agent visibility prior to booking.
  • City code search support — Agents can now search by city code (for example, NYC to include JFK, EWR, and LGA), expanding schedule and availability options.

✨ Enhancements

Southwest Airlines is now available in our consumer channels.

PNR Imports & Refreshes

We made several improvements to increase reliability and reduce friction in PNR servicing workflows:

  • Imports with paid seats and ancillaries — Agents can now import existing Sabre PNRs that include paid seat selections without triggering import failures.
  • Schedule change handling — The system now rebuilds the full itinerary on every refresh, regardless of ticketing state, so agents always see the latest version of the booking.
  • Case-sensitive PNR support — Mixed-case record locators (for example, XyZ7aB) are now supported, so agents no longer need to re-enter PNRs in all caps.

Search & Availability

  • More accurate branded fare display — Branded fare options now show only the components relevant to each leg, rather than displaying itinerary-wide details on every segment. This reduces clutter and makes comparison easier on multi-leg trips.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Improved Ticketing Reliability

We strengthened the booking-to-ticketing pipeline so that a failure in one downstream step no longer causes broader booking issues such as incorrect statuses, lost hold state, or duplicate PNR creation.

Key fixes include:

  • Status now reflects actual ticketing outcome — Bookings successfully ticketed in Sabre will no longer be incorrectly marked as Failed because of unrelated downstream processing errors.
  • On-hold bookings are preserved — Hold state is now persisted as soon as the PNR is confirmed and is no longer overwritten by later failures.
  • Duplicate PNR creation prevented — Auto-ticketing exceptions are now captured and recorded cleanly, reducing the risk that retries create a second PNR for the same trip.

🚗 Car

Release theme: This release is light on net-new Car launches, but heavy on in-progress work tied to some of our biggest booking conversion and revenue opportunities. The team is actively developing a mobile-optimized redesign of the search results experience, while building a pipeline of targeted experiments to improve shopper confidence, conversion, and booking value.

✨ Enhancements
