Air

TL;DR

  • Cleaner platform foundation: Retired unused legacy integrations and stale feature switches to reduce complexity and lower future delivery risk.
  • Improved Air financial accuracy: Fixed commission estimates and exchange reporting so booking and back-office data are more reliable.

Enhancements and Fixes

  • More accurate provider commission estimates
    • Commission estimates now calculate correctly for on-hold bookings.
    • Commission estimates now account for bookings that include ticketing fees.
    • The View Bookings page now displays this value as Estimate Commission.
  • Correct exchange pricing sent to the back office
    • Even exchanges, such as schedule-change waivers with no additional collection, now report the original ticket total and correct tax values.
    • This prevents the back office from receiving the current itinerary cost when the original ticket total is the correct value.

These fixes improve confidence in booking financials, reduce manual reconciliation risk, and help ensure Air records are more consistent between booking, servicing, and back-office workflows.

Car

R231 prepares Car for several upcoming search experience improvements — including sort testing, redesigned result cards, refreshed navigation controls, and member picks.

Upcoming Experiments available in Preview

  1. Northeast sort experiment
    • Tests the current Hertz-first ordering against a lowest-price ordering across Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty.
    • Goal: understand whether a more price-forward sort improves conversion
  2. Redesigned Search Result Cards
    • Introduces an updated card layout for Car search results.
    • Goal: make key details easier to scan and improve consistency across the shopping experience.
  3. Refreshed top-of-page navigation controls
    • Updates the controls at the top of the Car results page.
    • Goal: make sorting, filtering, and search refinement easier and more consistent with the shared design system.
  4. Member Picks Round 2
    • Addresses existing bug in experience that overwrote a user’s sort when interacting with a filter

Guided Tour

✨ TTC’s premium brands are now live for consumer booking ✨

Trafalgar, Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations, and Brendan Vacations are now bookable directly by consumers through a brand-new funnel. That means a wider, higher-quality tour catalog you can put in front of members today — and more booking paths that earn. Point members into the new funnel to start driving guided-tour sales across these flagship brands. A more compelling way to shop tours (recap from the Navigator)

If you missed the Navigator, here’s what’s new in the Tour experience, all designed to convert browsers into bookers:

Collections — curated groupings that help members discover the right trip faster instead of scrolling endlessly. New map views — members can see where a tour actually goes, building confidence to book. Refreshed landing pages — cleaner, more persuasive entry points for your campaigns. Reviews — social proof on the page, right where the booking decision happens.

Fix: consistent, trustworthy pricing on TTC add-ons 🐞

We resolved an inconsistency where tour add-ons (like pre-tour hotels) displayed different price labels at different steps — showing per-person in one place and per-night in another. Members now see one consistent, accurate price label from card to modal to cart. The outcome: less confusion, fewer pricing questions, and more confidence to complete the booking.

Hotel

A redesigned hotel details page built to convert (A/B test 🧪)

We’ve reworked the hotel details page to make the value of each property obvious at a glance. Amenities and About now sit on their own lines for easier scanning; AAA Diamond, AAA Rate, and Inspected Clean are now prominent highlight tags with official logos and descriptions; and a side panel shows the “from” price with a quick CTA to jump to rooms, plus a map and location ratings. The outcome: members get the trust signals and key facts they need faster, building confidence to book — and refining a layout that underperformed on its first pass.

Popular Filters: surface what actually converts (A/B test 🧪)

We’ve added a Popular Filters bar above property search — Free Breakfast, Free Cancellation, Free WiFi, 4 Stars & Up, AAA Preferred, plus the top neighborhoods for each search. These are the filters members who book use most. By putting them one tap away, we help members narrow to the right hotel faster, which we expect to lift conversion. Now live as an A/B test.

A cleaner, lower-friction room grid (A/B test 🧪)

Picking a room used to mean wading through too many rates. The redesigned room grid shows one clear lead rate per room group — lowest price per night, occupancy, room name, and total — with King rooms first and Free Cancellation or AAA badges called out right on the card. Every other rate is one click away in a slide-out drawer. The outcome: members find and choose a room with far less friction, which should reduce drop-off on the details page.

Fix: Tourbook links now protect your campaign tracking 🐞

We were hard-coding UTM parameters onto Tourbook spotlight links, which overwrote partners’ own campaign UTMs and broke attribution. Links now pass national/licensee parameters correctly (nat_source, nat_content, nat_campaign, nat_medium, with nat_campaign set to TBSpotlight). The outcome: your marketing attribution stays intact, so you get accurate credit and reporting for the traffic and bookings your campaigns drive.

TripAdvisor Ratings & Reviews removed ⚠️

A two-week A/B test showed a conversion lift with it off (+2.37% combined; up to +7.44% on tablet), so we’ve retired the feed rather than renew a costlier contract. Cleaner flow, better conversion, no added cost. May revisit review content later.

Platform

Bug Fixes

  • Confirmation emails are now logged in Notes & History the first time they are sent, not just on resend. Across all booking types, every send now records the recipient and timestamp, so there is a record when you need to prove a client was sent their booking details.

Manual Booking V2

  • Manual booking now supports every product type in Trip Builder: air, accommodation, car, cruise, guided tour, rail, prepacks, activities, insurance, and other. Each one also flows through to the back office, so manually booked trips process like any other booking.
  • Add passengers from people already on the trip. A new Select Traveler dropdown on the Primary Passenger and Passenger forms pulls in someone’s details instead of making you retype them.
  • A cleaner Passengers section. Add Primary Passenger and Add Passenger replace the old Trip Owner button, with the same validation behind them.
  • Air bookings now let you add and remove airline ticket numbers, matching what V1 supported.
  • Overdue balances are now flagged. When an unpaid payment’s due date has passed, the booking is marked past due on both the booking search and the booking details pages, so you can spot it without opening the payment section.
  • Final payment due dates can no longer be set in the past relative to when the sheet was created.
  • You can now convert any payment row into the Final Payment, so a booking still settles correctly when its price changes after payments were applied.
  • Large currency amounts now format with comma separators as you type, so totals stay readable.
  • Car manual bookings now require a pickup location.
  • Editing a booking with paid add-ons no longer reduces the displayed Total Price.
  • The payment dropdown no longer renders compressed and hard to read on smaller screens.

MBS Vendor Configs

  • Super admins can now manage the vendors available in manual booking themselves: create, edit, deactivate, and delete. New suppliers can be onboarded or retired without an engineering ticket.
